PORTRAIT

To celebrate those who inspire us, we're launching Inspiring Portraits , a series dedicated to the people who embody Roseanna's DNA. Artists, entrepreneurs, creators, influencers... they share a vision, an energy, a commitment that resonates with ours.

Through an intimate encounter, they discover our wardrobe, take ownership of our pieces, and bring them to life in their own way. We asked them a few questions about their backgrounds, their desires, and their relationship with design and fashion.

A portrait like a parenthesis, a dialogue, a source of inspiration.

Welcome to the world of Roseanna's Inspiring Portraits .

1.
What do you do for a living?

I am an artist, textile designer, and model. With a background in fashion and a degree from Central Saint Martin’s in London, my artistic practice blends photography, video, textile installations, and writing.

For several months, I've been working on a textile project, Super Soft for Your Eyes (@supersofttextiles), which, inspired by my artistic practice, combines visual narrative, installations, clothing, and interior design. Based on material work, the fluid and lightweight textile creations result from a combination of fabrics, geometric shapes, and colors, and can be used in multiple ways.

2. The last design object you bought for yourself or would like to buy?
A piece by my friends and artists Dorota Gawęda and Eglė Kulbokaitė (@gaweda_kulbokaite) titled Technology of the Self I, 2021. They are two orange-yellow flower-mirrors, one of which is engraved with

the following inscription: 'reading with a single hand'.

3. What is your most precious possession?

I don't get very attached to things. If such a piece existed, it would be small, light, and transparent.

4. When you need inspiration, where do you go?

I would say Athens, or Greece in general. I lived there as a child and returned for a residency and to exhibit there. Visually, everything attracts me; there are so many stories. Otherwise, a place where time moves a bit slower.

5. Last song on your mind?

During the Nan Goldin retrospective at the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin, I re-heard the song 'Song To The Siren', performed by This Mortal Coil.

The exhibition deeply moved me, and the song stayed with me for several weeks afterward.
